Professor Rabinovitch Awarded Foreign Minister’s Commendation for 2017

On November 14, Consul General Yamada presented the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for 2017 to Dr. Judith Rabinovitch (Karashima Tsukasa Professor Emerita of Japanese Language and Culture at the University of Montana) at the State Capitol in Helena, Montana during a ceremony for the 35th Anniversary of Kumamoto-Montana Sister-State Relations.

The Foreign Minister’s Commendation is given to individuals and groups in honor of their distinguished achievements and contributions in promoting friendship between Japan and the United States. This commendation commemorates Dr. Rabinovitch’s long-term contributions to the Japanese language department and the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and the United States, and hopes for her continued support in strengthening these relations.
