Reception for Nisei Veterans Committee Members

On September 30, a lunch event was held at the Official Residence for the rank-and-file members of the Nisei Veterans Committee (NVC) and NVC Foundation.

Consul General Yamada spoke about the vital contributions Nisei veterans have made towards cultivating friendly relations between the U.S. and Japan. NVC Commander Brian Takeuchi also greeted the guests, and former NVC Commander Tosh Okamoto gave a toast. The 70 people in attendance, which included NVC members and Japanese-American community leaders, enjoyed the lively conversation and spending a fine autumn day together.

The Consulate honors the Nisei veterans for their service and thanks them for their valuable contributions to US-Japan relations.
