If you are applying for a single-entry visa for tourism purposes, we recommend JAPAN eVISA, which allows you to apply, pay the visa fee, and receive your Japan visa online.

However, online JAPAN eVISA applications are not available for transferring flights, visits to relatives/friends, conferences or business, multiple-entry visa applications, or long-term work or study visa applications (application with COE). For those purposes, please apply for a Regular Visa at the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle if you are a resident of the State of Washington, Montana, or the northern part of Idaho.
IMPORTANT: Applicants should only submit an eVisa application OR a regular visa application. DO NOT submit both types of applications at the same time. If you apply both, your application will be rejected. |
