2018/3/16
On Saturday, March 10, an immersion camp for high school students studying Japanese was held at Chief Sealth International High School in West Seattle

Around 100 students participated and tried their best in using Japanese while exploring Japanese culture through activities such as calligraphy, tea ceremony, taiko, cooking, koto, and kendo.

Consul General Yamada addressed the students, “Language is a necessary tool in international exchange. Please learn and use a lot of Japanese.”

The immersion camp has been held for over 20 years, providing opportunities for high school students learning Japanese through various cultural experiences.
