Visit by Junior High School Students from Kakamigahara City in Gifu Prefecture

On October 28, the Consulate hosted a visit by thirty junior high school students from Kakamigahara City in Gifu Prefecture, who were participants of the city’s annual overseas program in Washington State.
During the visit, students received an explanation on Washington’s relationship with Japan and the work of the Consulate and engaged in conversation with Consulate staff on a range of topics including the state’s economy and Japanese language education in a Q&A session.
While on the program, the junior high schoolers also had an opportunity to tour Boeing’s Everett factory and meet students learning Japanese at Everett Community College.
