Online visa application visiting Japan (U.S. citizens only)

As visa exemption program has been suspended for the time being, all foreign nationals who wish to newly enter Japan need to apply for a visa except for those with re-entry permit.
From August 18, U.S nationals who residing in U.S. are able to apply for a short-term stay visa for the purpose of Business and Various Exchanges, Group tourism (Note), Visiting Relatives on Japan eVISA web site.
(Note) In the case of "Business and Various Exchanges" and "Group Tour", the certificate for completion of registration to the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS system) which receiving organization located in Japan applied for online is required.
