Summary of Contributions: After the end of WWII, Mrs. Tsuchino Forrester came to the U.S. as the spouse of an American soldier. Concerned that Japanese “war brides” like her who immigrated to the U.S. from postwar Japan were often suffering from anxiety and social isolation in their new lives in an unfamiliar land, Mrs. Forrester devoted herself to building a network to further mutual exchange and welfare for these women.
