On April 29, 2023 (JST), the Government of Japan announced that Mr. Akira Takeda, former local staff member of the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle, has been awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays, in recognition of his contributions to the activities of Japanese diplomatic establishments abroad.
