TEMPORARY VISIT FOR CHINESE CITIZENS (MULTIPLE ENTRY)
【Definition】
Chinese citizens traveling to Japan for tourism, business affairs, commerce, conferences, visiting relatives/acquaintances as a temporary visitor.
It is not permitted to perform activities to undertake revenue generating business operations or activities to receive remuneration.
【Term of Stay】
Stay up to 30 or 90 days
【Validity of Visa】
Multiple-entry: 3 or 5 years from date of issue
*The applicant may be required to submit additional documents, if needed. The result of the examination could be a single-entry visa, so it is recommended that you also submit your itinerary, flight and accommodation information.
There is no guarantee that the applicant can obtain a multiple-entry visa.
【Note 1】
• A multiple-entry visa will not be issued if the applicant does not have sufficient financial means. A condition for applying for a multiple-entry visa is that the visa applicant himself/herself has financial resources. If an applicant applies with someone else's financial resources, he/she will not be issued a multiple-entry visa, so please DO NOT APPLY.
• Dependents can apply for multiple-entry visas at the same time with a principal applicant, using the principal applicant's assets.
• Dependents can apply for a multiple-entry visa if their spouse or parent already holds a valid multiple-entry visa. Submit a copy of their passport, copy of multiple-visa sticker and a proof of relationship.
• If the applicant's parent, spouse, or biological child is a Japanese or U.S. passport holder, he/she can apply for a multiple-entry visa.
You must submit following documents:
◆Copy of Japanese or U.S. passport
◆Proof of relationship (copy of birth certificate/marriage certificate)
◆Last 6 months of bank statements or latest pay slip with YTD amount and the most recent W2 form
• If applicant does not possess a valid U.S. visa sticker, most visa applications will be denied.
After obtaining the U.S. visa sticker, you can apply for a Japanese visa.
If you submit an "Appointment Confirmation" issued by a U.S. Embassy or Consulate as your qualification for staying in the U.S., the appointment date must be before your first intended date of entry into Japan and the validity period must be within three months of the date of your Japanese visa application.
*As an exceptional itinerary, if you are traveling from the U.S. to Japan and will receive a U.S. visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate during or after your stay in Japan, your visa application will be accepted.
• If you submit your upcoming travel plans (flight and hotel reservations), your single-entry visa application may be accepted even if your multiple-entry visa application is NOT ACCEPTED.
If those reservations are not provided, your passport will be returned and then you can apply for a JAPAN eVISA online, if you still need Japan visa.

REQUIREMENT:
Original passport and visa application form must be submitted.
Copies of all other documents are acceptable.
□VALID PASSPORT
Properly signed by bearer. Must have at least one blank visa page
□PROOF OF U.S. IMMIGRATION STATUS
• Copy of Valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Do NOT submit the original Green card)
• Copy of Valid U.S. Visa sticker page with copy of I-797/I-94
(If you have a Valid F Visa, MUST submit I-20 with valid travel endorsement signature)
(If you have a Valid J Visa, MUST submit DS-2019 with valid travel validation signature)
(If the U.S. visa is attached to the old passport, a copy of the old passport is also required.)
• Copy of ADVANCE PAROL (copy of I-797 AND I-512. Do NOT submit the original EAD card)
• Copy of APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION issued by a U.S. Embassy or Consulate if the applicant does not have a valid visa sticker but has a valid I-797/I-94. See NOTE 1 above.
□VISA APPLICATION FORM
The applicant must complete the visa application form in black/blue ink or typed. Signature must be original and same as passport. On the application form, if there are fields not applicable to you, please write “N/A”.
□TWO(2) PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH
2 X 1.4 inch or 2 inch x 2 inch photograph with a plain background taken within the last six months. These are for the application form and visa fee payment form
□MULTIPLE-ENTRY VISA REQUEST FORM
Applicants must fill out this form and state which category they fall under (only available #d or #e), the reason for applying for a multiple-entry visa and visiting plans in the future.
□A DOCUMENT WHICH PROVES that the applicant has SUFFICIENT FINANCIAL CAPABILITY
Following are preferred;
• Employed = Latest pay slip with YTD income, W-2 form. (Last 6 months of bank statements are optional)
• NOT Employed = Last 6 months of bank statements
Bank statements must be issued by a bank in the U.S. under applicant’s name and current address.
For foreign banks, only statements in English and US currency are accepted.
Must be for six consecutive months.
Statements from different bank accounts cannot be combined.
Do not need daily details.
It must show the bank name, account holder name, date and amount. It is often on the first page of the monthly statement.
Dependents (spouse, parent or child) may apply for multiple-entry visas at the same time as a principal applicant.
If the applicant's spouse or parent holds a valid multiple-entry visa, the applicant may apply for a multiple-entry visa using their spouse's or parent's assets. In this case, their copies of passports, copies of multiple-entry visa stickers, marriage or birth certificates, and proof of assets are required.
We do NOT accept credit card statements and 1040 Documents.

Exact amount of CASH ONLY: coins, personal checks, cashers checks and money orders are not accepted.
□PASSPORT RETURN ENVELOPE
U.S. POST PRIORITY MAIL or FEDEX Prepaid Envelope to return your passport:
Sender and recipient name and address must be yours.
If two or more people are applying at the same time, only ONE envelope is required. Multiple passports will be returned together.
Only U.S. POST or FedEx will be accepted for return envelopes. *USP, DHL, or other carriers will not be accepted.

• You do not need to attach/paste/tape your ID photo to the application form. You can enclose it separately.
We accept U.S. Passport size picture (2 inch x 2 inch)
• Documents addressed to other consulates will not be accepted.
• Documents in languages other than English will not be accepted (unless an English translation is attached).
• We scan all visa application documents.
Staples, sticky notes, etc are prohibited as they will interfere with scanning.
Applications containing these items will be automatically rejected and returned.
If you have any extra information, create a separate note.
• The visa fee will only be accepted in exact amount ($201.00) CASH ONLY.
