Membership is open to all past participants in any of the following Japanese Government Scholarship Programs:
- Graduate research fellowship (kenkyuusei)
- Undergraduate Japanese studies (nikkensei)
- Technical studies
- Vocational studies (senkousei)
- Teacher education (kyoukensei)
- Undergraduate degree
- Association of International Education in Japan Honor Scholarship
What does Amanogawa offer?
Networking: Events where members come together to share their experience and support each other professionally.
Volunteer: Amanogawa participates in a number of events every year, including Sakura-Con and Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival, as well as various Pre-departure Orientation programs, information sessions, and other MEXT Scholarship-related events hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle.
Leadership Positions: Officers are elected once a year and are responsible for planning events and coordinating volunteers. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership experience and get involved in the community.
